Come and Explore San Diego North County's top breweries as we go on a brew cruise. Join us as we travel on our humble motorcoach and go brew tasting and chat with fellow brewers about the principals of brew tactics and tips.
We will start our journey at your departure point of choice and continue up the Interstate 15 to our first brewery which is Stone. Stone Brewing is known for the aggressive Arrogant Bastard Ale, although the brewery considers Stone Pale Ale and Stone IPA to be its flagship beer. Most of their beers are characteristic of west-coast craft brews; that is to say, most beers have a traditionally 'hoppy' flavor. Stone beers are bottled in 22 ounce bottles, 12oz six packs, and occasionally 3 litre bottles.
Stone also sell growler jugs that you can have filled fresh off the tap with any of our year 'round releases to take home. Several times each month we have "Special Growler Fills" where we put on tap our Stone Special Releases or the latest inspired creation from our brewing team.
Aferwards, we drive to Green Flash Brewery which serves up local and tasty IPA beer worth a visit. Tucked away within several warehouses, well find the rich malty and hoppy brew of West Coast IPA. Green Flash Brewing Co. , located in Vista, California, is an award-winning brewer of fine, hand-crafted ales, and specialize in brewing assertive and distinctive beers, such as our West Coast I.P.A.: an award-winning beer whose wide acceptance has helped define a category. We brew nine styles of beer regularly, on draught and in bottles.
We end our journey visiting the Lost Abbey/ Port Brewing Company produces a line of award-winning American ales and the groundbreaking Lost Abbey family of Belgian-inspired beers. Craft brewed under the direction of co-founder and World Champion brewer Tomme Arthur, five beers are issued under the Lost Abbey label year-round: Avant Garde, Lost and Found, Red Barn, Devotion and Judgment Day. Additionally, a number of seasonal and specialty releases are offered at various times throughout the year. As many of these are blended and aged for up to 18 months in French Oak, Brandy and Bourbon barrels, Lost Abbey beers are universally recognized for their complexity, unique flavors, and bold, boundary-pushing styles.
